TBLC reached a significant milestone this year.

Three decades of continuous volunteering by local residents sharing a vision and passion to restore a degraded landscape.

From a small group of founding members in 1993 to the present day, TBLC has planted, nurtured and maintained many hectares of land and been instrumental in creating infrastructure of the now established walking tracks.

Our anniversary celebration was held at the Metung Bowling Club. Thank you to the Mayor for presenting the Froggatt Award to members, acknowledging the group’s work on invasive species control.

Thank you also to our guest speakers from East Gippsland Birdlife Australia, Wildlife Unlimited and our own founding president, Jonathan Smith for a memorable speech.
