Our good friends from the Shire, the East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority, East Gippsland Landcare Network, neighbouring Community Groups and our own members all braved blustery conditions to help celebrate the (near) completion of our two most recent projects, ‘War on Weeds’ and ‘Ours to Protect’.
TBLC President Jonathan Smith gave an engaging and lively speech thanking everyone for their assistance (especially Coastcare and EGCMA for the funding) and explaining the benefits of our efforts to improve and protect our natural environment.
He also provided a 2 page ‘homework sheet’ which further explained the geological and environmental influences on our landscape.
Catering was provided by Little Red Bucket and partaken of out of the wind at Alan and Glenda’s place. Hats off to them for their hospitality.
