Barry joined TBLC in the year of formation 1993 and became Treasurer in the late 1990’s until 2019.

Who would ever forget his notes taken on bright yellow paper, we presume in recognition of his beloved Richmond Football Club.

Barry certainly loved a chat and was always keen to sign up new members and talk up the group at every opportunity, not taking ‘no’ for an answer.

In all those years he rarely missed a committee meeting or working bee and hated leaving a job unfinished.

He volunteered for just about every job and took charge on open days and field lunches, supplying furniture, drinks and of course, everyone’s comfort food being his wife June’s famous sausage rolls.

Barry was an invaluable member of Landcare/Coastcare. He was a much-loved friend of all in the group. Our thoughts are with June and Family.

Barry’s funeral service will be held at St Mary’s Church, Bairnsdale on Wednesday, 29th March at 11.00am.
